Messi:niko u Barseloni ne potcenjuje Lion

After seeing the Blaugrana drawn against Olympique Lyonnais, Messi was keen to point out that nobody in the squad thought they would have it easy despite the media seeming pleased that the Catalan outfit avoided Chelsea and Inter.
Lionel Messi has explained that Barcelona do not consider that they have been handed an easy tie after being paired with Olympique Lyonnais in the first knockout round of the Champions League.

The Argentinian stated that the Blaugrana squad has seen the draw in Switzerland on Friday and believe that playing the French champions will be a difficult proposition.

Having eased through their group, Barça are one of the favourites to win the tournament, but Messi is taking nothing for granted.

"We watched the draw and it is fine. We have drawn a hard team. People may think we have drawn a smaller name, but we know it will not be easy," he told reporters.

"At this stage of the Champions League you will not find an easy team to play.

"We will not only be focussing on (Karim) Benzema because they have a great team with a lot of very good players."

While the media focus on the Champions League draw, Messi stated that Barça are only concerned with playing Villarreal this weekend because the tie against Lyon is not for two months.

"There is still a long time before those games. I hope that we go into them in the same form, but for the time being we have to think only about Villarreal," he added.
